Privacy policy

Effective from: 2 September 2026

This policy explains which data is processed when you use skan-pol.pl, submit an enquiry or use the house construction calculator.

1. Data controller

2. Data we process

Enquiries and calculator

If you submit a form, we process the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, the location and postcode of the planned building site, intended construction date, house specifications, message and technical information needed to handle your enquiry. The estimate is saved in the protected WordPress administration area and sent to the email address provided. After two days, we may send one message about the same enquiry to ask whether you need clarification or would like to talk.

Cookie choice records

To demonstrate the choice made by a user, we record a pseudonymous decision identifier, accepted categories, notice version and UTC timestamp. The record does not contain a name, email address, phone number, IP address or browser information. Entries are automatically deleted after 24 months.

Technical data

The server may create standard technical logs containing information such as IP addresses, request times, requested URLs and browser details. They are used for security, troubleshooting and protection against misuse.

3. Purposes and legal bases for processing

• responding to enquiries, preparing and sending estimates, and taking steps before entering into a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR;
• handling correspondence, establishing or defending legal claims and website security — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the controller’s legitimate interest;
• analytics and marketing — only with consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR;
• keeping a record of cookie choices — the obligation to demonstrate consent and the controller’s legitimate interest in accountability.

4. Cookies and Google Consent Mode v2

Essential cookies operate without additional consent because they are needed to remember privacy choices, maintain security and provide basic website functions. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default. You can accept all, reject optional cookies or select categories individually. You can change your choice later using the Privacy settings button at the bottom of the page.

The website sends the following Google Consent Mode v2 signals to Google services: analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data i ad_personalization. Their state is set to ‘denied’ until consent is given.

In addition to using the website’s settings panel, you can delete and block cookies in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. Recipients of data

Data may be entrusted to providers who help us maintain the website and handle correspondence, particularly hosting, email and technical support providers. If the relevant categories are accepted, Google Ireland Limited may receive data as the provider of Google Analytics. These providers receive only the information needed to deliver the service concerned.

We do not sell personal data. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, transfers use mechanisms provided for by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we retain data

• enquiries and estimates — for as long as needed to handle commercial discussions, and then until the limitation period for potential claims expires;
• cookie consent records — 24 months;
• technical logs — for a period justified by website security and diagnostics;
• data relating to a concluded contract — for the period required by tax, accounting and claims legislation.

7. Your rights

Depending on the legal basis and circumstances of processing, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability, and may object or withdraw consent. You can send a request to biuro@skan-pol.pl. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

8. Voluntary provision of data and security

Providing data in the form is voluntary, but fields marked as required are necessary for us to prepare an estimate and respond. We use organisational and technical measures to restrict data access, HTTPS connections, permission controls and form protection against automated spam.

9. Policy updates

This policy may be updated when legislation, services or the website’s operation changes. For significant changes affecting optional cookies, we will ask you to make a new choice.
